How can changing the office affect the space?

Making changes to an office can make a massive difference to the space and also how employees feel in that space. The right office design can boost productivity and heighten mood, the key to a good business is happy, dedicated staff.

Once of the most common mistakes made is misusing space. Ultimately, it’s your space so you can do whatever you like with the space, but ask yourself, are you maximizing the space? The office space you have can be used in various ways but here are some questions to think about when looking at a space?

  • Is the space being used for the right purpose?
  • Is the space being used at all?
  • What other facilities could be introduced?
  • What do the employees want?

To get a feel of what the office space might be missing, creating an office poll for some anonymous answers is a great way to go.

Whilst open plan offices aren’t as popular as they once were, having an open space is positive. It’s easier to divide an open space then it is to open a closed off space. Acoustic & Freestanding Office Screens are an effective way to create dividing walls in an open space and to bring useful division into the workplace.

Office Dividers shouldn’t be added for the sake of it, but to boost the way a space can be used. Commonly, office screening is used to separate a large room, creating smaller and more manageable workspaces. As well as using the acoustic screens to control noise volumes, thus resulting in a more productive and quieter workspace.

By making small changes, it’s possible to rejuvenate the office and construct a working space that’s comfortable, visually pleasing and pushes the team to be creative. A new year is a better time than any to put new styles and colours to the test.
